Course aim

To develop specialised evidence based clinical knowledge of pathology and mastery of skills, assessment, analysis of findings, planning, intervention and evaluation required for neuromusculoskeletal community client centred physiotherapy practice

Course content

Students will learn how to apply clinical knowledge and skills required for community physiotherapy practice
across the lifespan. Students will learn the presentation and management of a variety of peripheral and vertebral
neuromusculoskeletal conditions; neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy practice: peripheral and vertebral
neuromusculoskeletal management strategies and techniques relevant for children, teenagers, adults and older
adults. Student will develop skills in clinical reasoning, client education, culturally responsive care, medico-legal issues and record keeping, chronic condition self-management, Pilates, taping and exercise therapy.
