A theoretical and practical understanding of autonomous vehicle platforms. Vehicles and vehicle systems for the domains of air, sea and land will be introduced and analysed.
The course covers the primary systems on vehicles, including propulsion, steering, communications and sensors. The kinematics and dynamics of vehicle types will be examined. Techniques and instruments for guidance, navigation and control will be appraised. Techniques for analysing the performance of vehicle systems will be introduced.
