Course Alert: This course is no longer available for enrolment
Business requires graduates with intercultural competence and a global mindset. This is a capstone course that aims to provide students with: the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across cultures; a strong sense of self awareness and emotional intelligence; and the capacity to adapt and learn in the global business environment.
In the core topic of professional communication, students will advance their capacity to communicate in a professional manner with clients and other business professionals with an emphasis on organisational culture, communication and negotiation.
In the core topic of intercultural communication, students will develop an understanding of communication methodology, effective intercultural communication strategies, cultural communication differences, and cultural identity and how it impacts on international business practice.
In the core topic of professional development, students will further develop their ability to work collaboratively across cultures and advance their understanding of organisational theory and decision making. Students will also develop the capacity to be self-regulated and adaptable learners in various cultural settings.

Students must successfully complete 72 units in a business program before enrolment in this course. This course is not available for students who have completed Global Experience Professional Development, BUSS 1056.
