Course aim

To investigate processes and strategies for engaging participation, analysing game play and movement capabilities with a focus on developing teaching practices to advance learning and skill performance by all learners.

Course content

Students will anlayse, critically reflect upon and apply principles of the Play Practice approach to evaluate learning environments, appraise strategies for sustained engagement, evaluate the alignment of learning tasks to participant capabilities and plan differentiated learning experiences. Students will investigate theoretical constructs from dynamical systems, complexity thinking, socio-critical and non-linear teaching/ coaching approaches to enact, and critically reflect upon evidence of impact on participant learning.
