To develop preservice teachers' knowledge, skills and professional expertise and apply their skills in design and technology education to meet the identified needs of a range of stakeholder’s through engagement in placed based learning projects.
Preservice teachers will extend their knowledge and work collaboratively within professional environments to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and meet a diverse range of design based needs. For example, preservice teachers may work with schools to develop school gardens such as those established through the community programs. Preservice teachers will refine and apply their planning for teaching skills to collaboratively produce scoped and sequenced teaching packages.
