To advance students' knowledge of the human services by critically examining the organisational context of human service delivery and the diverse processes through which organisational vision translates to service delivery.
Students will develop advanced knowledge of human service organisations and their governance, theoretical understandings of organisations, workers and clients and the practices relating to quality assurance, accountability and evaluation and evaluation planning. Students will develop the skills to critically analyse trends in human service delivery including delivering services in dispersed or culturally diverse communities, the role and influence of stakeholders in service delivery and evaluation, and ethical issues in organisations.
