This course aims to develop an understanding of the application of general marketing processes in a service context. It expands the framework of the traditional marketing mix. It prepares students to work in the service sector by examining the application of marketing within different service contexts, e.g. commercial, professional, not-for-profit and government services.
Services Marketing; Role of services in society; Extended marketing framework for services marketing; Internal and external marketing; Legal and ethical aspects of marketing for services; Service quality and the role of employees, physical elements and delivery processes; application of marketing to acquire and retain clients/customers.
