Course aim

To provide students with an authentic experience of Japanese language and culture at an advanced level through an in-country immersion by studying at an approved tertiary institution.

Course content

Students will undertake a negotiated program with the host institution in Japan. Students will develop a range of communication tasks related to contemporary themes and topics that extend students understanding and use of a wide range of vocabulary, sentence structures and text types and deepen their sociocultural awareness of Japanese communities and intercultural understanding in communicating in Japanese. It will also provide students with in situ cultural and linguistic experience of living in Japan.
