To assist students in developing the knowledge and skills to design advanced digital processing systems, including the processing of RF signals using modern electronic design flow.
Design of advanced combinational, arithmetic, synchronous and asynchronous digital systems; timing specification and timing hazards; integrated-circuit logic families – TTL and CMOS. State machine based design techniques. Digital system design with hardware description languages; programmable implementation technologies; electronic design automation flows; design considerations and constraints; design for test. The role of digital processing in wireless systems. RF filters; RF couplers and power dividers; impedance matching; antenna beamforming.
