Course aim

The aim of this course is to develop an understanding of the professional, ethical, legal and clinical aspects of clinical exercise physiology in Australia and to develop clinical skills in communication, behaviour change, exercise adherence and evidence based practice.

Course content

Professional roles and responsibilities of the Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) within the Australian healthcare system, evidence-based practice models, exercise program strategies and implementation, counseling, behavior change and self-management, approaches to long-term adherence, interpersonal communication, clinical documentation and communication.
