To introduce advanced electronic devices and their applications.
To provide a knowledge of analog linear circuits and their applications to various electronic systems.
Thyristors: SCRs and TRIACs in power control; triggering and commutation techniques. Field effect transistors: MOSFETs; JFETs, amplifiers. Feedback Amplifiers: Feedback concepts; topologies; analysis of feedback circuits; circuit applications. Introduction to oscillator circuits. Operational Amplifiers: Principles, inverting, non-inverting, frequency response, applications to electronic functions. Principles of differential amplifiers and applications. Analysis, design and applications of power amplifiers.
