Course aim

To critically evaluate policies for education and training, their rationale, context and effectiveness.

Course content

Nature of policy and policy making; tensions and challenges, policy responses, system monitoring and performance assessment; public expectations and policy directions; use of evidence-based data in policy development; assessment for policy making; maintaining and aligning standards; interpreting and using assessment data.
