Course aim

To develop an understanding of how languages are learnt in the context of diversity.

Course content

Second language acquisition; conceptualising ‘learning’; cognition; social dimensions of L2 learning; cross-linguistic influences; the multilingual learner; language learning memoirs; teaching the multilingual learner.
