To introduce students to the practical and theoretical understanding of Indigenous knowledges in the production of creative texts.
Students will develop understanding of Indigenous knowledges and culture through creative texts in the exploration of historical processes in creating Indigenous texts, diversity in Indigenous genres, protocols and ethics in writing stories using Indigenous themes, representing Indigenous voices, constructing and editing text; writing for an audience, and issues in publishing Indigenous texts.
