Course aim

This course provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge of organisational leadership and what it means to be an effective leader. Students will acquire advanced skills to:

  • Develop a vision for the future of an organisation.
  • Align the organisation and its members to that vision.
  • Motivate people to achieve an organisation's vision, goals and objectives.
  • Design and lead effective and efficient organisations.
  • Implement change to achieve superior performance and competitive advantage.

  • Leadership traits and characteristics.
  • Increasing leader effectiveness.
  • Adaptive leadership approaches.
  • Leader-member exchange.
