To prepare students for working with children and adolescents with a variety of psychological problems.
Students will develop skills in diagnosis (using current major diagnostic classifications systems) and aetiology (including psychological models) of psychological problems across the spectrum of severity within the child and adolescent age range. Topics include: Mood disorders, anxiety disorders, learning disorders, PTSD and child abuse, working with families, attachment, and behavioural disorders.
