To examine a social cultural view of language and apply it to designing teaching and learning strategies for interpreting and creating multimodal texts.
The students will develop a depth of knowledge and engagement with the conceptual frameworks and metalanguage that informs teaching and learning in English. The students will investigate and apply pedagogical approaches to literature, language, and reading and the design and production of complex multimodal texts that is informed by contemporary theories and research. The students will apply their knowledge to the critical analysis of approaches to teaching and learning that that demonstrates their potential to make judgments about and implement a classroom program in English.
