To develop students’ understandings of play curricula for children birth to 8 years and develop the capacity to analyse and critically evaluate research on the play curriculum.
Students will demonstrate knowledge of orientations towards play, perspectives of teachers and caregivers in the provision of play programs for young children between the ages of birth to 8 years and the central role that play has in the curricula and programs for young children.
