Course aim

To demonstrate an understanding of research evidence to inform midwifery practice by undertaking a critical review of the literature and disseminating the findings.

Course content

Research development skills; search strategy, academic database, managing research literature, analysing and interpreting data; critiquing the literature, construction and presentation of a poster report (including background / introduction, aim, methods, results, discussion and clinical implications); approaches to research dissemination; reflective evidence-based practice; research translation; safety and quality; communication; equity and rights.
