To build students' understanding of the roles of language and literacy for learning in diverse contexts, and thus to develop personal and professional and disciplinary literacies.
The students will develop knowledge of a social and cultural approach to the development of language and literacy with a focus on the literacy demands for learning in a university setting. Students will explore approaches to development of language and the implications for education settings and convey their learning through the production of texts that demonstrate their competency in professional and academic literacy practices.
