To develop preservice teachers' capacities in planning programs in either the context of Language Education or TESOL which are based on a sound analysis and evaluation of the information of the designated context and which include the application of a range of methods and technologies appropriate for the target context.
Preservice teachers will develop knowledge to undertake curriculum design, long and short-term planning on the basis of a sound analysis of the relationship between policy and curriculum. They will select, adapt and create resources, and design learner assessment and program evaluation to address the needs identified in the target language teaching context of languages program development in either Languages Education or TESOL.
