Course aim

To provide students with the skills to critically evaluate the complex relationship between people and wildlife in cities.

Course content

  • attitudes and behaviour towards urban wildlife
  • the health, economic and other risks posed by urban wildlife
  • the need to conserve urban wildlife despite these risks
  • the benefits of urban wildlife conservation
  • management strategies for engaging individuals and communities in the conservation of urban wildlife
