Course aim

To enable students to design, validate, conduct, and interpret appropriate analytical and physical procedures for the analysis of materials.

Course content

Overview of the principles and application of analytical tools in materials chemistry. Factors affecting choice of analytical tool, validation and QC issues, data collection, interpretation and presentation. Advanced analytical techniques and assays and their application in the materials and allied industries.
