To introduce students to simulator-based research and management.
Understanding the key constituents of simulator fidelity; issues concerned with the effective delivery of simulator training; understanding the factors that limit and constrain simulator tractability; identifying the key human component skills substantive to complex (simulated) task environments; managing simulator research; familiarisation with and treatment of human simulator performance data; understanding the implications of simulator design; identification of substantive psychological concerns in simulator usage.
