Course aim

The aim of the course is to introduce students from non-science background to the basic concepts of science and scientific method.

Course content

This course balances practical and theoretical knowledge to enhance students' understanding of scientific enquiry. The course introduces the basic concepts of life and physical sciences. It explores broad concepts such as what is science, the scientific method, physical quantities and phenomena, chemical reactions, investigating matter and the solar system. The course will also explore how to represent data graphically, manipulate equations and use of computer software.
