Course aim

Students will learn how to conduct a large, multidisciplinary, project in a large team setting following the standard project methods of systems engineering. Students will learn to perform research in engineering work.

Course content

Students will be given a project brief and staff acting as ‘customer representatives’ to provide the domain information to inform the detail work required by students. The Course Coordinator may arrange Just-In-Time instruction in any matter related to systems engineering which the students need to progress with the project. Guidance in research methods.

Workshop (The entire class will be formed as one project team. Whole class team meetings will be conducted weekly and students will be given access to electronic collaboration tools to facilitate work. The Course Coordinator will participate in the workshop se) 2 hours x 13 weeks
