The aim of this course is to develop students’ professional networks, communication, career skills and strategies through a supported placement in a business or community setting. Students will have the opportunity to plan, implement, reflect and report on the placement experience, with a particular focus on the development of intercultural workplace communication skills.
In this course students will undertake a placement in a business or community setting aligned with their personal career goals. They will have the opportunity to apply, critically evaluate and reflect on knowledge gained during their chosen work placement. The course will provide scaffolded support during the planning, implementation and reporting phase of the placement. It is anticipated that at the end of the course students will be career focused, interculturally aware and ‘job ready’.
