Development and completion of an individual or group research project. The project will address an area of relevance to modern Finance or Insurance.
Design and completion of a research project to be conducted under guidance of a suitably qualified supervisor. The project will address a topic of significance to Quantitative Finance theory and/or practice. The specific topic of the research project will reflect personal and/or professional interests of the student and the supervisor. The project can be a self-contained small research problem, a literature study to initiate a larger program of research, an analysis and implementation of a financial modelling method or any other opportunity for the student to study an area of Financial Mathematics or Actuarial Science not covered elsewhere in curriculum.
Note: Master of Quantitative Finance Project 1 can be structured as the first stage in a larger research project, to be completed as Master of Quantitative Finance Project 2.
