To develop students' advanced organisational communication skills required to effectively operate as a social work professional in diverse workplaces.
The students will develop advanced knowledge needed for professional practice in human service workplaces. Students will demonstrate skills in negotiating to achieve professional outcomes, interprofessional social work, working in culturally diverse contexts, giving and receiving feedback, assuring service quality, managing adverse events and responding to professional scrutiny, supervising volunteers and staff, managing performance, setting professional goals, describing, measuring and valuing social work, representing their agency and clients, using and managing the media, and lobbying and advocacy.
