Course aim

To analyse and critique social policy processes and their application to human services in Australia.

Course content

The students will develop advanced skills in social policies analysis. Specifically, students will research and analyse social work and human service policies in relation to: policy cycles; policy planning, instruments, analysis, implementation and evaluation; resources allocation; equity and diversity; government and third sector relationships; global social policy and policy transfers, and policy activism.
