To critically examine the impact of war on women and men and the gendered roles in conflict; and to explore the role of UN Conventions and international organisations in increasing women’s participation in peace and security decisions.
Examines the impact of war on women and men, including different gendered roles in conflict and gender-based violence; role of UN Conventions and international organisations in addressing gendered insecurities; and increasing women’s participation in peacekeeping, peacebuilding and political decision-making.
