Course aim

Completion of original, individual research project developed during ARCH 5038 Planning Research Project 1. The research project will address an area of relevance to contemporary urban and regional planning theory and/or practice.

Course content

Completion of an original, individual research project as developed during ARCH 5038 Planning Research Project 1. This research project will be conducted under the guidance of a suitably qualified supervisor and will address a topic of significance to planning theory and/or practice. The specific subject of the research project will reflect the students’ personal and/or professional interests and be developed in conjunction with the project supervisor. Research may be undertaken with the broad scope of the following subject areas; environmental planning, transport planning, policy and statutory planning, urban design, social and community development, economic development. These subject areas are indicative rather than exhaustive.
