Course aim

To develop students’ mastery, relative to specialisation, in applying design processes, strategies and professional practices to the realisation of a major supervised design project, undertaken concurrently with a minor design project.

Course content

This course focuses on the refinement of skills acquired through previous design studios and integrates closely with aims and objectives of Masters Design Studio 3, via a major supervised design project, concurrent with a minor design project. The course incorporates critical thinking applied to complex design problems, consideration to broader global issues within contemporary design contexts, collaboration with industry and/or interdisciplinary academic groups. Consultation and interaction with clients, resource experts, mentors, suppliers and external third party experts. Advanced drawing and design simulation, presentation of complex information and concepts. Professional practice, verbal communication and general professional interface.
