Course aim

To develop students’ mastery, relative to specialisation, in applying design processes, strategies and professional practices to the development of a major supervised design project.

Course content

This course focuses on the refinement of skills acquired through previous design studios and integrates closely with aims and objectives of Masters Design Studio 4, via a major supervised design project. Students negotiate an individual study contract in consultation with the relevant Course Coordinator/Program Director. The course includes problem identification and scoping, design research, project planning and management in the design and development of appropriate professional outcomes in an applied context. Risk management processes, ethical conduct, client consultation, forms of simulated presentation.
