Course aim

To develop students' competence in research and applying creative principles, processes, strategies and practices to a variety of creative projects that address contemporary issues and contexts in a variety of creative fields.

Course content

Students will develop knowledge of creative research processes and practice: in physical, cultural and ethical contexts. Students will gain skills in creative strategies: materials, composition, structure and technical requirements, technique, use and application.  Students will develop a range of skills in creative research including identification and problem framing, interpreting and writing a project proposal, communication for presentation and consultation. Students will participate in collaboration with industry and/or interdisciplinary groups as appropriate to the project.
