Students will consolidate knowledge in branding, design for high volume manufacturing including closed mold processes, project management and the specification and integration of simple electrical technical packages. Students will integrate skills and knowledge from the previous courses in the program to enable students to take on complex design projects from conception and briefing, through design development to implementation and technical communication. They will develop knowledge of the ecological and social impacts of mass manufacturing and develop skills in using product sustainability evaluation tools. In addition students will develop high levels of expertise to integrate a broad range of skills including design simulation, development and communication via text, oral presentations, three-dimensional model making, CAD, drawing and graphic presentations.
