Drawing for Product Design

Course aim

To introduce students to the basics of drawing, for the representation, development and communication of design concepts and form solutions with an emphasis on hand sketching of perspective drawing.

Course content

The students will develop knowledge of perspective drawing principles and the use of drawing as a tool for visual thinking and design development. There will be an introduction to basic rendering skills to develop the use of drawing as a tool for visual thinking and design development. Students will use their skills to produce a portfolio of drawings and to create perspective drawings to communicate three dimensional products and objects.
