Course aim

To provide the students with an understanding of the healthy human body as it interacts with the environment.

Course content

Introduce and apply the principles of scientific terminology: cells, tissue and body organisation: positive and negative feedback mechanisms: basic chemical and physical concepts: introduction to microbiology: anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
