Research Career Planning and Development

Course aim

To provide early career academic staff with an enhanced understanding of ways in which the research dimension of the careers can be planned and facilitated within the context of contemporary higher education.

Course content

The international context within which research in universities is carried out; models of academic careers; research and scholarship and the Research-Teaching nexus; academic career planning; the ‘complete’ researcher.
