This course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding and complexity of climate change science, the associated current and future challenges, adaptation strategies and mitigation measures focusing on water and environmental management. This course also provides knowledge on the global and national action plans and protocols to mitigate the impact of climate change and the approaches of adaptation to a sustainable environment.
The course covers the history and complexity of climate change and how it influences the current and future water resources and environment, projecting the effects of future climate change on sustainability and the implications of climate change on current and future policy for a sustainable environment. This course consists of four modules including: Climate Change Concepts and Understanding; Projection of Global Climate Change; Water and Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation, and Mitigation Measures; Implication for Policy and Sustainable Development and Gaps in Knowledge. The modules are designed to examine the effects of climate change on water resources and environment, the adaptation and mitigation measures towards a sustainable environment.
