Course aim

To develop knowledge of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics to inform advanced assessment and prescribing for advanced scopes of nursing practice.

Course content

Pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacognosy, toxicology, clinical drug trials, prescription and non-prescription drugs, implications of generic and brand names when prescribing medications, clinical drug trials, Quality use of Medicines.
