Course aim

The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamental concepts of Business Process Modelling, a systematic approach to model flow of work within organisations in order to support detailed analysis of business processes.

Course content

Definition of business processes, definition of Business Process Management (BPM), principles of business process modelling, workflow design, analysis of business process models, overview of existing modelling languages (UML, YAWL, and BPEL/BPMN), business process integration, and automated support for process modelling and integration.
