Course aim

To introduce students to legislation and codes that underpin Physiotherapy Practice in Australia and develop the foundational knowledge and skills required for professional practice.

Course content

Physiotherapy Practice Thresholds in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand; Physiotherapy codes of conduct; legislation governing physiotherapy practice in Australia; foundational skills in human movement analysis and biomechanics; foundational clinical skills in manual handling and selected physical assessment and management techniques.
