To enhance students’ knowledge of sustainability and business ethics, as well as to develop a critical understanding of comtemporary accounting approaches and techniques to measure and report corporate social, economic and environmental performance.
The content of this course covers the topics of corporate sustainability and legitimacy, critical review of conventional accounting, sustainability issues in accounting and reporting, sustainability reporting guidelines, environmental and carbon management accounting frameworks and tools, business ethics, the role of accounting in corporate sustainability management and contemporary issues such as integrated reporting and climate change accounting.
