To enhance students’ knowledge about corporate social and environmental responsibility, as well as to familiarise students with contemporary accounting approaches and techniques to measure and report corporate social, economic and environmental performance.
The content of this course covers the topics of corporate sustainability and legitimacy, critical review of conventional accounting, sustainability issues in financial accounting and reporting, sustainability reporting guidelines, environmental management accounting framework and tools, and the role of accounting in corporate sustainability management.
