Course aim

The aim of this course is to enable students to consolidate and apply previously learnt key concepts of Evidence-Based Paediatric Nursing Practice and to demonstrate positive attributes and attitudes to work; skill consolidation; clinical confidence relevant to their practice context and to broaden scope of practice to include staff management, education and networking.

Course content

Concepts of leadership; conflict management and resolution; effective interview techniques; community resources available for health consumers and health professionals; facilitating education in the clinical environment for patients, families and health professionals; and critical application of evidence-based research to practical situations.
