To prepare student teachers to teach Health and Physical Education competently in Junior Primary and Primary Schools.
The role and nature of Health and Physical Education; Health Promoting School concept; working familiarity with curriculum framework models for Health and Physical Education; teaching methodologies relevant for R-7 Health and Physical Education classes; legal, equity and other contemporary issues; child growth and development; factors affecting health outcomes; skill learning; teaching resources; class management techniques; assessment and reporting in Health and Physical Education.
