The aim of this course is to enable students to develop an awareness, understanding and competencies involved with teaching and coaching individuals or groups in sport.
Role of the teacher and coach; teacher and coach in action; junior athlete; methods of presenting and teaching; methods of training; team building skills; psychological skills training; planning the macro/micro program; coach management/ administration; parent awareness/support programs; sport research; coaching and the media; Olympic studies; legal responsibilities.
