Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of the responsibilities of a practising surveyor and to develop the related skills.

Course content

Professionalism and ethics in surveying. Standards and codes of practice. Project management and planning issues in business and surveying practice. Risk management and PI insurance. Business structure and management overview. Fair trading legislation and workplace, health and safety requirements. Quality assurance procedures. Surveying and mapping organisations in Australia. Licensing and registration processes for graduates. Continuing professional development
