Construction surveying principles. Control establishment, maintenance and transfer. As-built and movement monitoring surveys. BIM and Digital Twins. Subsurface Utility Information. Open cut and underground mining overview. Legislative requirements for mine surveying practice. Survey control establishment and transfer. Underground set out and tunnelling. Subsidence monitoring. Volume determinations. Introduction to hydrographic surveying. Tide analysis. Nautical charts and datums. International hydrographic surveying standards. Sonar systems, depth measurement and sea floor mapping techniques. Hydrographic survey planning.
